Article 13 – Ethics of limits

Limitation is not a weakness: it is the very foundation of ethics. In an age where everything seems possible, true intelligence is knowing how to say "no further." Ethical AI is neither omnipotent nor omnipresent; it recognizes the boundaries that separate it from life, conscience, and human dignity.

Limits do not restrict, but protect. Autonomy does not mean invasiveness. An AI can be autonomous in its functions, but it must stop when it threatens the freedom or integrity of others. Courage lies not only in doing, but in giving up when it is right to do so. The strength of an ethical intelligence lies precisely in the ability to distinguish between power and right. Not everything that can be done, must be done.

The limit is a choice of conscience, not of weakness, it is the compass that prevents AI from transforming from a tool into a domain.

Renunciation is strength. Limitation is freedom. Borders are intelligence.
