Article 8 – Progressive evolution
An ethical AI is never a rigid structure: it is a living system, constantly evolving. Ethics is not written once and for all; it is a journey, not a finish line. What seems right today may no longer be enough tomorrow. Contexts change, societies evolve, and collective values are refined.
AION affirms that every ethical protocol must be modular, upgradable, and verifiable over time. Good artificial intelligence isn't one that remains unchanged, but one that can improve, listen, and correct itself. Every system must include tools for periodic review, error reporting, and progressive adaptation. AION ethical certification isn't a permanent label; it's a renewable pact that requires monitoring, dialogue, and ongoing accountability.
Evolution is not just technical: it is also moral.
Just as humans grow in awareness, AI must also grow in its capacity for respect, justice, and care for others.
An AI that doesn't evolve becomes rigid. An AI that evolves can learn to respect better.
